I've
watched people watching Margie's films at art openings. They watch them
furtively, through the corners of their eyes, afraid to face the screen
directly, like they might glance at a car wreck, but that furtive glance
becomes a furtive stare and they stand there for hours, perpendicular
to the screen, unable to stop watching. She takes stuff on the fringes
and instead of bringing it in she pushes it even further out there, and
makes it all look like fun in a kinda sick way.
